Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:
Getting to wrap up our day with a mid-week co-ed sofa sleepover is awesome; and we’re doing that at Cassie and Michael’s house tonight while Mom is in the city with Dad. We were in Crystal Springs for a Christmas dinner with Mom, Dad, and the Malloys too, but we’re getting ahead of the story; so let’s back up to the beginning of our day.
Tai Chi with Mom was indoors; we had to get ready for school and pack overnight bags around breakfast and that work to make it and then clean up; and then we had a busy day at school that included everything involved around the seniors’ Christmas luncheon at the church. We helped with the set-up work for the school band and our band; we had fun with all of the music; and Naomi and the Holiday Harmonies was a hit with our audience. We had to hurry to get everything back to the school and put away, but got that done and were ready to go when Cassie and Michael picked us up at the school and we hit the road for the city.
Getting to spend time with the Malloys was great, and we enjoyed the meal and chat time that was mostly with Valerie and Marcus for us, but it blasted past too-quickly and then it was time to say goodbye again. We didn’t head home right away, but the stop at our favorite mall was only for a short blast of shopping and then we came home. The drive was uneventful and fun; we’ve had fun with Cassie and Michael since then and have stayed up too-late; so we should wrap this up soon and get started on our co-ed nap time. Cassie and Michael have gone to bed, but we’ve needed more time to wind down. The school Christmas concert is tomorrow afternoon, though, and we need to be at full power and ready for our parts in the show – especially for the younger kids; so let’s take care of the Christmas music video pick; and then we’ll move on and try to get some sleep.
Our favorite father-daughter duo is building up a great collection of Christmas songs, and this is one of songs and versions that we loved enough to choose for our album. Enjoy it; and we’ll take the joy we feel from the music with us into dreamland!
