Ethan and Ehlana:
The most-serious news of the day is the Turkey-Syria earthquake that has caused a lot of casualties and damage in the region; so we’ll just skip most of the home town, personal news.
We don’t normally write about world news, as anyone reading our journals knows by this point in our lives, but in this case; we put in hours of work to help out with getting aid rolling through our family business and charities. Ehlana and I joined Mom in that effort after dinner. She had to handle the ‘official’ communications; and we worked on collecting information; assessing needs; and helping out with developing plans for getting resources into the places where they’ll be needed the most.
Compared to that, our school day and the biking and play time after school that we went out to do with our friends because the weather was even-better than on Sunday is really unimportant – other than that we took all of that happy into our work tonight and it helped us to get through dealing with a lot of ugly that we saw and read about tonight. We don’t need to get into that, since anyone reading this in the future will be able to relate to contemporary exposure to natural disasters. We are getting very tired too, since it is really late; so that’s all we have for tonight. Stay tuned; since there is sure to be more on this disaster – even if earthquakes in the Middle East don’t get as much attention in our national media as is deserved for something on this large of a scale.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
