Ethan and Ehlana:
A partially-rainy day was well-timed for our annual start-of-summer shopping trip to the city. We skipped Tai Chi this morning; got ready for the day; and then we headed over to the Inn for the buffet breakfast with most of the shoppers and some extra family guests. That meal was awesome; we hit the road near to the end of the convoy after Mom and Aunt Leanne confirmed all of the groups and leaders; and then we had fun with the trip to Crystal Springs.
Ehlana would have a lot more to say about the shopping parts of our day, but since I’m writing this update; let’s stick with the guy version of those adventures! ;^) We shopped during the last half of the morning; had a fast food lunch in the food court; shopped some more at the mall before making stops at our favorite toy store and Wal-Mart for gifts and supplies respectively; and then we picked up fast food to go and headed home. While the two guys in our minivan were tired by the time we got home, we still went along for the hometown shopping and sales – mostly because that was a first for the Galleria stores. We visited all of Ehlana’s favorite stores around town; came home shortly-before all of the stores closed for the night; and got to work on unloading vans and a truck at a total of six homes – though we walked some of those deliveries instead of driving to Naomi’s and Aiden’s homes. It took a while to get that work done and then put away the clothes, gifts, and supplies; so we kept our bedtime visit with Mom and Dad shorter than usual; and now one of us is pretty much ready to crash and nap for the rest of the night.
Ehlana is very happy as well as tired, I’m glad that I have summer clothes that will fit better now, and we had a lot of fun with our friends; so the trip was definitely a success. We have another chores day ahead of us, and we really need that nap time; so that’s all for tonight.
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
