Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - June 16, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 6th Birthday, Trinity Taylor!

Those best wishes are for our younger cousins’ friend, and while we wished her a happy day and had a little gift for her too; that was the extent of our involvement in her happy day.  Having a birthday on the school play day is awesome, though, and we’re sure that Trinity is having an amazing birthday!

Our day began with Tai Chi by the river for three, and it was already warm first thing this morning.  It has gotten a lot hotter since then, and the weather was perfect – if a bit too-hot – for our games and contests.  Ehlana and I had a lot of fun with our team; we won some prizes along the way; and the only downside was that we didn’t end up spending much time with Naomi because her schedule didn’t match up with our team.  She had fun with her same-grade friends and team mates too; and then we were all happier when we got together after school and moved on to a lengthy swim in the river that we all wanted to cool off after all of the hot play time.

We’re just getting into our tween years; so don’t take that ‘hot’ comment the wrong way! ;^)

We ended up swimming or staying near the river until dinnertime; Naomi and Aiden stayed with us for that meal; and then we cleaned up and headed to the Inn for the final game night before the summer break.  Skipping that was an option for us – the kids, but Mom needed to be there for the annual attempt to win with Miranda and keep the title for the summer.  Try not to be shocked, but that didn’t happen for them this year.  Miranda was very disappointed, but Mom didn’t really mind – and she did still get to have a championship in the family for the summer.  Ehlana would add more on that if she was writing this update, but she isn’t; and I’ll only report that Naomi and I won the junior title – mostly because most of the older teens skipped game night in favor of other entertainment ahead of our last day of the school year.

Mom, Ehlana, and I didn’t get home until later than usual, so we opted for bath or Jacuzzi time right away; and then Ehlana and I have only done our usual bedtime computing and twin chat because we’re getting tired.  We’ve had another awesome day; can’t wait for the start of our summer break by early tomorrow afternoon; and want to rest up now for the start of those adventures; so that’s all for this report!

Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
