Happy Father’s Day to all of our favorite Dads!
After ending yesterday with co-ed cuddling and camping, we were very happy this morning. The early wake-up call for Tai Chi by the river was a great way to start the day; and we loved all of the extra exercise buddies that included two of our favorite fathers. We – the kids – had all of our favorite Dads with us for breakfast; the Moms helped us out with the cooking; and we took care of the clean-up. That food fun and work, along with getting everyone ready for church, kept us very busy; and then our time at church was short thanks to Pastor Martha’s annual ‘gift’ to all of the fathers – including her husband and son.
Our fun level really kicked up from there. We were part of a family-and-friends’ gang that biked the trail out to Quarry Lake; we met up with the rest of the family that drove there instead; and then we played for a few hours – and had a picnic lunch – before biking home again in time to get cleaned up and ready for the late buffet at the Inn. All of those adventures were amazing, and by the time we got home from the Inn; we were ready to wind down toward an early camping bedtime because we’re tired. We only have one tent set up for tonight in our back yard, but some of our cousins and their friends are still camping too – in other back yards.
We’re currently wrapping up bath or Jacuzzi time on the third floor. Naomi and Aiden are taking their turns; and once we’re all ready to head out to the tent; we expect that our bedtime chat and cuddle time won’t last long before we’ll crash and nap for the rest of the night. Try not to be shocked, but even Magi and Magi Master kids run out of steam now and then – and we’re there. We also don’t really have anything to add for this report, and Naomi and Aiden will be ready to go soon anyway; so that’s all for tonight. Stay tuned; since we really hope that our first week of summer holidays will be awesome! ;^)
