Happy 3rd Birthday, Stuart Stone!
We didn’t have anything to do with Stuart’s special day, but Mom delivered the gift that Cassie and Michael had for their nephew; and spent some time with him too – and with Miranda and Jacob while they tag-teamed the kids and work at the Inn.
Our day has been quiet by comparison. We had a good day at school, but while it warmed up into the seventies and was very nice out this afternoon; Ehlana and I opted for our work-play at the lab or archives after school instead of biking and playing with our friends. We’re trying to do more now ahead of our week in Washington – and no, that isn’t to get enough alien implants ready to take along and match up with our political leaders! Okay, that would be cool if we could do that and make them all better leaders, but that whole free will thing is a tiny little road block; so we’ll have to settle for the usual sightseeing and education while there instead!
We took picnic dinners with us; worked into the evening; and put in about twelve hours once the time-phased hours got included by the time we came home at ten o’clock! We did a visit with Mom and Dad; bath or Jacuzzi time was next on our to-do list; and now we’re wrapping up our day with the twin chat and computer checks time. We can report that today was not the day when we can announce that worldwide peace had been achieved and all wars are ended. The vaunted peace talks that were supposed to be a big deal today for the Ukraine side in London appears to have been a dud; and now we’ll find out whether the talks will just be ended or not while the fighting rages on and Ukraine continues to be destroyed. The news stories that are getting a lot of attention are mostly theatre and pointless distractions; and it gets exhausting sorting between what is important and the useless information. Okay, all of the work we did today has tired us out too, so instead of going on about all of the problems we can’t change anyway; let’s just call it a night and go get some sleep.
