Ethan, Naomi, Ehlana, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron:
Let’s begin with thanks for Sophia for hosting our co-ed sleepover tonight – though it is already really late; and we won’t have much time to hang out before we get around to the nap time.
We’re here late because we haven’t been home from the game in Three Rivers for very long, and while our team is still undefeated; it was a tough, long battle and we fought hard for every point we earned on the scoreboard. The final score was fifty-eight to twenty, but that didn’t really reflect how close the game actually was when it was also our defense that really made the difference tonight. Aiden, Aaron, and I earned two touchdowns each for six of the seven our team scored; and we switched to field goals for the final thee offensive drives once the win was all but assured. I’ll also mention that our cheer squad was a hit with the Three Rivers fans – especially thanks to their half-time routine that was amazing even when only getting to see the videos of it for those of us who couldn’t see it ‘live’ while busy with the team. Our girlfriends continue to get too much attention for our liking from the guys our ages and beyond, but instead of going there; maybe we should mention that some of our favorite mothers get too much of that kind of attention too – from the fathers of the players and teen fans! That obviously didn’t include my mother this week, but then we probably don’t want to know how popular she was around any or all of the guys who met or saw her today in Arizona.
Moving along, while the game was tough, so were the travel hours to and from the game – two-and-a-half hours each way! Add in the most time-outs we’ve had in any game so far thanks to some injuries on the Three Rivers side of the ball and extra time after the game before we could load up and head for home; and this has been a very long day. All of that has come after our academic adventures, but we don’t really have any news to offer from our classes or the homework that we worked on while on the bus or in more-comfortable vehicles for the girls. We did have a great morning with Cassie and Michael that included Tai Chi by the river and a hot breakfast, but they didn’t come to the game tonight because they were booked to help out with nieces and nephews – including a sleepover while their parents were busy at the Inn, pizzeria, or farm.
Speaking of food, the girls did get a pizzeria order on their way home and saved the majority of the leftovers for us once we were done with the team at the school. Let’s also mention that we all grabbed food in Three Rivers before the game, but that wasn’t anything worth writing a food report over; and we burned off those calories long before the end of the game. Naomi wants me to focus on cuddling with her now; so let’s wrap this up.
There wasn’t any good world news for us to write about tonight; so we aren’t going to offer any commentary on the top conflicts in the world. The daily distractions for the masses never end either, though the topics are recycled regularly with attempts to also divide and conquer by getting differing factions angry. One story from today that we did take note of, though, was from the United Kingdom because the police had to admit they shot two of the victims involved in the Manchester synagogue terrorist attack; killing one of them and wounding the other while also shooting and killing the attacker. We now know this because the terrorist was only armed with a knife; so the police were responsible for all of the shooting in the incident. As far as we know so far, the man that attacked the synagogue is responsible for one death and two other hospitalized injured; so it seems that the police caused one more death than the attacker they stopped. We have to wonder whether we’d even know that if the terrorist had been using guns too, but we’ll likely never know the answer to that little hypothetical. That is also still an awful story either way, but again we want to point out that it is getting far more attention than other, more-serious stories and events that are happening every day in the conflict zones or elsewhere because it is a story that makes people angry and sows division between groups of people.
We don’t want to be divided here at home with our co-ed sleepover, so that’s all for this report. Stay tuned, since even with a chores day just hours away; we are going to have fun this weekend with our friends and families!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
