Ethan and Ehlana:
The football game is at home tonight, so we’re writing this update now instead of sometime later tonight when we expect to be in need of co-ed cuddling to warm up after the game that is going to be more than a little damp thanks to the rain we’re expecting to start before the game does. Our luck has apparently run out for good weather for every game, but while the girls aren’t excited about cheering in the rain; they are planning on showing off their version of a singing in the rain – umbrella mash-up routine that Cassie, Rowen, and their squad made famous at least around here!
It would have been nice to have the weather we’ve had so far today continue at least until after the game, since we have had sun and a high in the mid-eighties – weather that we have enjoyed with extra outdoor time this morning and while at school. Getting to enjoy those cameo adventures was a highlight of our day; so we’ve had fun through from Tai Chi by the river to now. The rest of our news is still ahead of us and we need to live it first – though maybe Ehlana and I should try to write an update in advance just from using our Magi Sight to see what could happen a day in advance and then compare to reality to see how close we’d get to reality!
Instead of playing with that thought experiment; we’ll instead report that Cassie and Michael are still really getting started on their Saturday work in Fiji. They are still enjoying rain-free weather, but they are going to get rained on this afternoon and overnight with some dry breaks in the evening; and then the forecast is for similar weather on their Sunday. They are still in paradise and together; so we have no doubts that Cassie and Michael will have fun together with whatever they are doing and regardless of the weather!
Finally for today, we aren’t even doing an afternoon world news check. That will happen whether we keep up with it or take a break for a day. We’ll likely get a better picture of the news related to Ukraine over the weekend too; since the stories going on there are all over the place from imminent war escalation to an imminent peace deal between President Trump and President Putin at a summit being set up in Hungary. With the insanity on display among our world leaders; we wouldn’t be shocked to see both happen at the same time – end the Ukraine war just so that we could start a world war instead!
That is an ugly turn to our thoughts and this update, so let’s stop now; since Ehlana and I want to be happy and enjoy the start to our weekend with our friends and family – though most of them might choose to skip this game instead of getting rained on all evening too! ;^)
