Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 15th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Bradley Benton!
Mom and Dad are in Arizona as we’re writing this early update from Cassie and Michael’s house; and we’re doing this now while waiting for our four best friends to join us for dinner between our afternoon practices and game night at the Inn. They’ll be staying overnight too because Cassie and Michael invited all of us to stay with them while they have the chance to hang out with their favorite teens.
Our day started with the anniversary edition of Tai Chi by the river and the special breakfast that the four teens in the house cooked with help from Cassie and Michael and our grandparents. We had extra family and friends guests; so that was a crazy blast of busy. Mom and Dad got roasted by their friends while we enjoyed that meal and then we sent them on their way to the airport for the flight to Phoenix. They’re going to be staying at the same rental that Grandma and Grandpa will be spending the fall and winter at starting the Monday after the fall festival, and while that was partially picked because it was rented from the first of the month anyway; they’re happy for the chance for another week of summertime weather before we get into fall weather here at home. That might not seem like a big deal when it is still beautiful weather here and we had another sunny day with a high in the high-eighties, but we don’t need to let facts get in the way of the story.
Ehlana and I had help with the breakfast clean-up before we headed to school; Cassie and Michael are taking care of Silkie whether we’ll be with them or not over the next week and change; and we will be taking turns staying there and with our friends while Mom and Dad are away. Compared to the anniversary fun, our academic adventures are not newsworthy, and while we had fun with our respective practices and they went well; we don’t have any major news from them either. I will mention that my team is going to try and balance our offense a bit more this week, but that is the plan; and we’ll have to wait and see whether we can make that happen during the game on Friday. That brings us up to now, and we’re only split up from our friends while they’re checking in at their homes and packing overnight bags. They’ll be back with us soon and Cassie and Michael nearly have dinner ready now; so we need to wrap this up and join them in the kitchen soon.
We do not really need to add yet another bad-news world update, and it will be better for us to stay happy anyway; so let’s just move on and hope for better news tomorrow.
It could happen – or did; since all of this is happening in your past as you are reading this in our future, but we don’t need to get started on any mind-bending thoughts like that one either; so we are out of here and back to the real life fun right now!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
