Ethan and Ehlana:
Spending the rest of the day with our four best friends last night was great, and we had fun with the dinner we had with Mom and her group Magi lesson; enjoyed some music practice time and decided that we will try to make time to take a few ‘gigs’ this school year; and then some of us fell asleep during the first movie because we apparently really needed to crash and nap for the rest of the night. Yes, I am one of those early-nappers; Naomi assures me that she didn’t mind the extra co-ed cuddle time even when she was still awake for that movie and a bit beyond; and I will not out anyone else – though no, I was not the only guy to fall asleep; and that had nothing at all to do with the movie pick!
That does bring us around to today, since I also don’t need to know or write about any girl chat time that may or may-not have happened while I slept. Tai Chi was outdoors, but we didn’t beat the first rain by much; and it has rained off-and-on all day to now and will continue until sometime early tomorrow morning. That’s why we’ve worked some indoor chores for Mom including getting the house ready for the family night we’re hosting; we helped with the supply shopping; and Mom set us free to shop in the Galleria for a couple of hours too – though we also helped with younger kid control and entertainment while there. Now we’re taking a quick break and getting ready for all of our guests to arrive – though some of the dinner prep volunteers are already working with Mom. That includes Aunt Leanne, and while we’re thinking about her, we should mention that Jayden decided to go home a couple of days early and has already left with Kaitlyn and Jeremy – a change in plans that they made due to the wet weather that is allowing Jeremy to take time off now from the farms and greenhouses while they have a bit less outdoor work that they can do. Sure, the forecast might change, but Kaitlyn really wants some time with her parents before they start college; so they’re trying to juggle that with the need for summer job income. This year has been a change for us with Jayden, and while we still like each other a lot; there is a very good chance that he won’t be back for summer vacations unless it is with his parents and at their cottage. We are sure that he’ll have summer jobs starting next year; since he’s assured us that Uncle Blaine has agreed to let him go to work with him now that he’s starting high school.
Moving along, we haven’t really booked anything for entertainment plans for our cousins and friends, but video gaming and movies are certain; and we might fit in some music fun too. Dad will be home in time for dinner; so we have that to look forward to as well; and now we need to wrap this up and head for the kitchen and the work Mom wants us to help with there.
Cassie and Michael are down to hours before the big wedding, and they’ll be busy with the rehearsal and dinner party tonight, but we also haven’t gotten much news from them today; so we don’t have much to write about for their adventures in Chicago. We will have more about them tomorrow or on Sunday; depending on when we do our next report and how much we know about the wedding service and reception at the time. Stay tuned for that, and maybe we’ll offer a longer world news update too, but that’s all for today; so we’re out of here and back to the real world adventures that we’ll write about here sometime tomorrow!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
