Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re offering another early update because we’re having another camping night with our cousins and friends, and we need to get back to the fun soon; so let’s get right to the news from the first hours of our summer holiday!
The adventures with our families and friends were awesome – starting with our camp set up, some biking, swims in the river, and back yard games through the major barbeque dinner and on to our evening entertainments. While the campfire was a highlight of the night and we helped out with the music; we also had more swimming fun, some canoeing for and with some of our friends, and a lot of co-ed cuddle time while staying up too-late hanging out around our tents and by the river. Ethan and I had co-ed cuddle buddies in our tents and we weren’t the only couples, but then we really only had naps before needing to get going again this morning.
Tai Chi by the river was a big event followed by a major breakfast for all of the campers, and then it was time for baseball and chores. We split our time between the work and visits to the park. Naomi, Sophia, and I had our game to play at noon, so we were there and done our chores for the day by then while Ethan and Aiden only caught the start and end of our game while doing more chores after their lunch break at noon. They had their favorite cheerleaders for their game at three – though we should add that we had a short thunderstorm rain delay for our game and then they had one for their battle. As for our ‘family’ record today, we had four wins; so our season is off to a great start! We don’t really need to go into the details for those first games of the season, but let’s also mention that Faith’s win with her team might have been the most-surprising; since she is the quietest cousin and gets underestimated while still being one of the best athletes and as-talented as Brianna and the rest of the extroverts in our family! ;^)
That brings us up to now, and we’re going to be having another barbeque dinner soon ahead of another campfire and camping night, but before we get back to the fun; let’s also mention that our grandparents finished their move yesterday and were in their new home last night. They’re happy to be there now; enjoy having everything on one floor; and Grandpa’s only worried about missing out of future opportunities for teasing school kids from his front porch now that they aren’t on one of the main walking routes to the school! Okay, he’s sure to have many more jokes, but then they are also likely going to enjoy having more quiet over there – at least until they have many more neighbors over the next year or two. They have a smaller yard with more trees; there will be less work thanks to the yard services that are part of their new retirement community; and we’ll hope that the ongoing construction work won’t be too-much of an inconvenience for them.
Okay, we really need to get going to help out with the work and kid control ahead of dinner; so we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
