Ehlana and Ethan:
The top kid and teen story of the day is
that school is officially closed for the rest of this school year. We’ll continue our home schooling; and the
teachers are still working out plans for final tests or exams. Before we move on from that thought; we
should also add that SAT testing is not a problem for our students; since most
of the seniors took those exams last fall – or ahead of the lockdowns. Starting college in August or September may
still be an issue, but that’s a potential problem for a future update; so let’s
move along.
We had a dash or three of rain today, but
that didn’t affect our Tai Chi by the river this morning; and we switched our
biking and lab play time around so that we were out on our bikes at the best
part of the afternoon – with temperatures near-seventy and the rain out of the
area by then. Our online lessons and
studying is at our house this week; so we did that in the lounge while the
collegians had the office; and Mom used the sunroom to do her work. Our classwork doesn’t really take that long
when we can work as fast as we can without anyone around, so we had time for a
music practice; we had lunch with everyone in the house at noon; and then we
played at the lab or in the archives for two hours before getting to the trail
riding fun through until near-dinnertime.
We said goodbye to Naomi and Aiden for the
night after that; had dinner for four because Cassie, Michael, and May had
other plans; and then they were back for more studying in the office – which is
why we’ve been on the third-floor for most of the evening since then. Our adventures in doctoral-level studies
would bore most of you reading this, but another music practice was fun; and
then we’ve each just finished getting cleaned up with bath or Jacuzzi
time. Cassie and May are going to be
here soon for a girls-only bedtime chat, but that’s all of the news we have for
tonight; so we can wrap this up and one of us can avoid being chased out of the
room with threats of girl germs and kisses.
Let’s not comment on whether that would be
a problem if Naomi was here tonight too and put in charge of that job! ;^)
Okay, that’s all for now, but stay tuned;
since that school decision is sure to lead to other news for what we’ll be
doing with all of the stores and businesses in town – especially when spring
planting season is so important to us – more important than the summer tourism
season when it comes to our farmers and the businesses that depend on those customers.
That is significant for the lab agri-business too; so our family business is
included in that group – even if short-term losses aren’t a problem for us.
This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from
the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
