Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 27th Birthday, Jennifer Wingborough!
Even for our local adults, having a birthday land on Haunted Halloween Walk day is awesome; and we hope she’ll have a happy day – even if some work will be involved for the Pizzeria!
Cassie and Michael are missing out on all of the fun we’re going to have tonight, but we’re going to save their travel update for tomorrow night. Ditto that for world news; since we just don’t have much time for this report as we’re getting ready for the work we need to do ahead of the walk that includes setting up the fundraiser booth for the marching band and getting ready to play with the marching band. Ethan and I are booked to help with the booth and play with the band, but we’ll have time for all of the fun too; and we’ll be doing some babysitting tonight too. Those stories can wait for tomorrow night too; so we’re only going to offer a quick report from the football adventures last night and then get back to sharing those adventures with some of our favorite people.
The good news is that our football team remains undefeated and the seventy-eight to sixty-three victory was a big deal, but we showed some weaknesses too that need to be worked on if we want to get very far in the playoffs that will start in two weeks. Yes, we still have a game to go, but this win puts us at the top of our division; and that probably won’t change next week. That score makes it obvious that defenses weren’t doing well last night, and our team gave up six touchdowns and seven field goals to Clairmont. Ethan had four of our nine touchdowns and Aiden and Aaron had two each with Miles getting one on a scramble to go along with five field goals; so we basically exchanged scores all evening without many defensive stops. We did kick all of the field goals at the end of the game instead of running the score up with more touchdowns, but didn’t do that while risking a loss; since the final score was the closest Clairmont got to catching up with us since before half-time. The game also went a bit long due to all of the scoring and fast-moving action that did not use up much play-clock time; so we were late getting out of Clairmont and on the way home and then it was really late by the time we got home. For Ethan and me; ‘home’ last night was Aaron’s house; Sophia led the way when she brought Naomi and I to Aaron’s house before he got back to town with the team; and we had fun with Aaron’s Mom until our favorite boys – including Aaron’s father – got home too. By then, we were all tired, so while we still stayed up late; watched a Halloween movie; and enjoyed the co-ed cuddle and teen chat time until we crashed into nap mode; so we didn’t get a lot of sleep and needed some group fatigue healing when we woke up this morning. Tai Chi was in Aaron’s back yard; we had a hot breakfast; and then split up to get to work on fall clean-up chores or other work through to now. Mom and Dad let us wrap up in time to shower and get ready to go again; we’ll snack on the fly instead of doing dinner; and that’s all we have for this report since the best parts of our Saturday are about to happen.
We really need to go now and meet up with Naomi and Aiden; so we are out of here and back to what will hopefully be an amazing night!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
