Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 22nd Birthday, Scott Faulkner!
We didn’t have anything to do with Scott’s special day because he’s in Florida with Geraldine and they won’t be home again until sometime in May for their summer break from Florida State.
Here at home, we had fun with our friends and family yesterday; stayed indoors through the rain and cool-down that we didn’t like very much compared to the near-eighty high from Tuesday. We didn’t end up getting any snow or freezing rain, though; so that was at least one bright spot in among the clouds and showers! Video gaming and music dominated our afternoon once the gang arrived; Mom had all of the support she needed to feed dinner to everyone that stayed – including some parental help and dinner companionship and from six of her favorite teens. Ehlana and I only kept our four best friends overnight, but it was heading toward eleven o’clock before the last of the friends and cousins headed for their homes – after a movie that had been timed to put an end to the gaming and a time limit on the evening for anyone not spending the night. There were other sleepovers elsewhere last night, but we weren’t involved in any of those plans; so will leave it to others to write those stories.
Our Thursday-so-far started with indoors Tai Chi due to that freezing start to our day; we had a hot breakfast; and then our best friends moved on to other things for the morning while Ehlana and I went to play at the lab or archives after the breakfast clean-up. We had fun while there; got a fair bit done; and then we had lunch with Mom before meeting up with our friends for some afternoon biking and play time. We had fun, but a high that only touched fifty for a little while was not as much fun as the seventies had been for the first of the week; and we needed warm-up snacks and drinks for our break that lasted a bit longer because the girls also did some shopping at the Galleria while there for that break anyway. Now we’re home and will be having a light dinner with Mom ahead of game night at the Inn; and we’ll only have Naomi and Aiden with us tonight because Sophia and Aaron have other plans that don’t included their best friends! ;^)
We’re feeling happy right now; so let’s not mess that up with any world or political bad news for this report. Maybe after a day off without comment from the junior Magi peanut gallery; our world leaders will suddenly have an epiphany and immediately stop all wars; end hunger and starvation; cure all disease; and release free energy for all that they’ve kept hidden for decades!
Yeah, probably not, but that is a happy thought; so we’ll go with the delusion and get back to our more-realistic and fun adventures with our family and friends!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
