Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 26th Birthday, Martin Rice!
Happy 10th Birthday, Marcus Malloy!
We did not get a school day off for either birthday, but we did have vid-chats with Martin and Kimberly and then the Malloys while having breakfast; and hope that their respective families and friends have helped them to have an awesome day. Mother Nature wanted to help them out too, and while it was around freezing this morning; we topped seventy for the high by a couple of degrees and it was mostly-sunny too.
That had everything to do with our choice to hang out with our friends after school and bike the trails and play at the park. That was our fun highlight of the day, since while we had a bit of outdoor time at lunch while at school; there weren’t any bonus outdoor breaks due to testing and working on projects that need to be wrapped up ahead of spring break. This is taking a little side-trip, but Princeton is on Spring Break this week; so we’re keeping watch on Gwyneth to make sure she doesn’t direct any of her kind of fun our way. The risks are low, since she’s away from home and apparently on a business trip that conveniently happens to be on a beautiful tropical island, but we’ll still watch out for other risks like her goon squads.
As for the rest of our day, we came home from the play time for dinner with Mom and Dad; took care of the clean-up; and then we headed for the lab or archives to work-play there for as long as we could. That ended up being eleven o’clock with added time-phased hours; we had a visit with Mom and Dad before coming upstairs; and then bath or Jacuzzi time was needed to get cleaned up from the outdoor play time. It was officially Tuesday morning before we got started on our twin chat and bedtime computing, but we’ve still been a bit wound up from the work at the lab; so we’ve been wrapping up our day for quite a while now.
Most of the news of the day was bad – as usual; and we really don’t want to detail most of the horrors – especially with the Ukraine war; the atrocities happening in Syria; or the disaster that is happening with the Palestinians in Israel. There were really dumb stories too, and for example, we do not understand how a container ship can crash into a tanker ship full of jet fuel that was at anchor with all of the tech available to keep that from happening. It isn’t funny, since it is an environmental disaster off the coast of the United Kingdom as both ships caught fire and jet fuel is being dumped into the sea, but the level of probable-incompetence is amazing – and might be a microcosm example of what is wrong with many of the leaders and countries in the world. Maybe that isn’t as good of an analogy as driving off a cliff, but we do seem to have some Captains in charge right now that are convinced that they can navigate the hazards around them right up until they crash into the tanker dead-ahead and blow everything sky-high.
That’s enough for tonight – at least for this report. Ehlana and I will likely sit up a bit longer to chat until we’re ready to sleep. While we do that; we hope that your ‘now’ is amazing and maybe even live in a future that is happier and filled with love everywhere – not just here in our little corner of the world.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
