Ethan and Ehlana:
Our spring break adventures continue today and we’re only home to refresh overnight bags and grab tents before we move over to Sophia’s house for our next overnight plans that include camping thanks to a forecasted low that will still be in the sixties tonight! We had an awesome night with Naomi and her family – even with Zack joining in and teaming up with Eli for some minor goofing around. Dinner was good and so was the play time and movies with the co-ed sofa sleepover part of the night being the highlight of the night for the four teens in the house!
Before we move on to our own news; Mom is having fun in the city, and while Uncle Adam needed to stay close to home while Uncle Mark is away; Cassie and Michael headed to the city for Mom’s birthday dinner, and along with the Malloys; Michael’s and Rowen’s parents all went to Crystal Springs too; and dinner was followed by a night out for the five couples; and only the Malloys went home last night while everyone else enjoyed a five-star hotel sleepover! We did not get any details about much beyond that dinner so far; and really don’t want to get the rest of their hotel room stories!
Moving along, while Ehlana and I had planned on a lab morning today, we scrapped that thanks to the awesome weather; got together with a gang of friends and a few cousins; and put together an all-day biking adventure. We took a picnic lunch along; hit the trails by nine-thirty; and biked up to Quarry Lake. Our favorite campground is not open yet, but we do know the owners and most of the full-time staff; so they didn’t mind letting us use a picnic table for our lunch and take a ride around the lakes. While out on our ride, Sophia offered to host our co-ed sleepover for tonight; and then we decided to make it a camping night – which we need to get to soon so that we can get tents set up and our gear into them before we need to help with making dinner. There may be extra campers, but that isn’t confirmed yet; so we’ll have to let you know how that goes for us. We had extra time after getting back to town for more biking and an Emporium frozen snacks break. The high isn’t quite going to hit eighty, but it is close; and feels hot as we get used to the changes from winter that isn’t actually quite over yet anyway. We’ll enjoy the warm while we can, though, and can get back to that now; so that’s all for today.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
