Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 18th Birthday, Kara Johnson!
We’ll have another high school grad going off to college this summer, and we sent family gifts, but didn’t talk with Kara today and left it up to her family and friends to take care of making her special day awesome!
Here at home, we had another busy school day; have pretty much wrapped up current lesson modules ahead of our break; and wrote the last tests too. The high today flirted with eighty without quite getting there, but that was more than enough of a reason to take the rest of the day off to play with our family and friends. That meant being outdoors biking the trails and playing at the park after school; we were on our own for dinner with Mom and Dad; and then we ended up with a handful of friends at the Inn with us for game night. There were no titles for our family tonight, but we all had fun; and the weather was still decent even when we walked home – and then took Silkie for a bedtime walk while making sure that Naomi and Aiden got to their homes ‘safely’ too. That really is silly to even think about in our town – not to mention that our best friends can take care of themselves if needed, but why let facts get in the way of all opportunities for goodnight hugs and kisses?
After getting home from that little walk, we did a Magi lesson with Mom; some family business work in the office with the help of some time phasing; and then bath or Jacuzzi time was needed again after all of the outdoor play time. That’s how we’ve managed to have yet another late night even without any lab or archives fun; and we are definitely getting tired out now. The top world news of the day is that Russia has rejected the Ukrainian ceasefire ‘deal’ that our leaders had gotten Ukraine to accept. We are not surprised, since from Russia’s perspective, it was a nothing-burger that only gave Ukraine a month to rest up and re-supply their soldiers after months of steady retreats and defeats along the frontlines. None of Russia’s demands for peace were addressed; so all of the talk appears to have been for no tangible result. That leaves us still on the path to conflict escalation – especially if our leaders choose to try and hammer Russia into submission with more sanctions or sending troops and even more weapons to Ukraine. Here’s an idea that our politicians will never read in our journals – follow the deal that Austria made with Russia after World War Two; make what’s left of Ukraine neutral; allow Russian-speaking Ukrainians to choose which country they want to live in; and then get on with life. For Ukraine, that will require decades of rebuilding if they started now; and years will be added to that schedule for every added month of having their country destroyed and their men killed or seriously injured. Let’s not get into another alternative where the war escalates and we all lose; since we’ll continue to hope that enough of our world leaders are sane-enough not to allow that to happen.
Yeah, that is a lot to hope fur! ;^)
Let’s wrap this up. We have one last school day before our spring break; we are really looking forward to the time off; and you should stay tuned; since we also hope that we will have some amazing adventures with our family and friends over the next ten days! We won’t get much rest tonight to be ready for that, but fatigue self-healing is an option if needed; so we will be good-to-go by morning.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
