Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had a happy day, but not very eventful; so this update won’t take long. Our academic adventures were good and we’re basically prepping for mid-term exams – though lessons are ongoing for some subjects – especially when it comes to politics and the impending inauguration on the twentieth. Ehlana and I went to play-work at the lab or archives after school; we were only there for a couple of hours; and then it was time to go home for dinner and an office work evening. Mom had dinner ready by the time we got home, so we enjoyed the meal; took care of the clean-up; and then we got to work in the office. Mom did a Magi lesson with us; most of our work tonight was in support of Cassie and Michael’s visit to Panama and prep work for their next few weeks; and we got to have a vid-chat with them too. Mom and others have been keeping busy with some serious challenges elsewhere in the world too, but we didn’t get into any of that work tonight; and can’t do as much anyway because we don’t have the time to keep up with the fast-moving needs of people in war zones and elsewhere. While Ehlana and I didn’t do anything world-changing with our efforts tonight, we are happy with what we did get done; so we feel pretty good about our accomplishments today.
There isn’t a lot that we need to write about for Cassie and Michael’s trip, but since Panama is in the news; we’ll mention that they booked this trip long before current stories came out about President-elect Trump suggesting that we’ll take over Panama again. We have no idea about how serious those suggestions are, but then there has been a lot of that kind of nonsense going on among our politicians this week. Just for fun, top stories include offers from Canada to buy Alaska; offers for our country to take over Greenland; and suggestions that Canada should just be a fifty-first state. We don’t want to write about all of the top news stories of the day or week tonight, but wildfires in southern California are causing serious problems there; all ongoing wars continue to be horrific with destruction and casualties that everyone in the world should abhor and oppose.
Let’s wrap this up instead of really getting that kind of rant going – especially after such a good, productive day. While Ehlana and I get some sleep; we hope that your ‘now’ is as happy and blessed as ours is thanks to all of the love and joy we get to share with our family and friends.
