Happy 81st Birthday, Grandpa!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Lyle Landry!
We had a blast last night with our family and friends with highlights including a pot-luck dinner; a family movie; and some ‘live’ music fun and then late-night video gaming that was mostly for the guys while the girls that stayed the night enjoyed some chat time while cuddling with our favorite boys. Mom and Dad ended up with a house full of kids and teens, but they didn’t mind; and had fun with some of their friends too until the rest of the parents moved on to kid-free night plans or other entertainment.
After staying up too-late, we had a nap – without co-ed opportunities thanks to the guys that crashed in the lounge. There were extra exercise buddies for Tai Chi; breakfast was an adventure while getting everyone fed; and then our overnight guests headed out while Ehlana and I were put to work on chores for the morning. Those jobs weren’t newsworthy beyond getting to do a lot of the work with some Magi-powered help; and that’s how we managed to get done by lunchtime. Naomi and Aiden joined us for that self-serve meal of soup and mini-subs; and then Ehlana and I hosted another study session with available friends including a mix of Grade Eight and Nine students. Naomi and Aaron led their group; Ehlana and Sophia led our group; and I helped out as needed while also hanging out with Naomi when I could do that too.
That brings us up to now, and our friends have headed out for homes or other destinations while Ehlana and I are packing before going over to Aiden’s house for the rest of the day. Naomi will be there with us; and we don’t need to write about what Mom and Dad are going to do with their kid-free night. That’s really the only reason we’re doing another sleepover with our best friends, but since we also didn’t get to have a co-ed sleepover last night; we’re good with that part of the plan too. Cassie and Michael have finished their last work day in Costa Rica today; and they’ll be sightseeing all day tomorrow before moving on again early Monday Morning. There isn’t anything else we really need to cover today, and we want to get going soon anyway; so that’s all for this report. We hope that your ‘now’ is as-awesome as we expect the rest of our day will be with our friends and Aiden’s family!
