Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had another really cold day, but didn’t get more snow; so the weather really only encouraged us to spend most of our time indoors. Our school day was good and uneventful other than the attention we got from our snowboarding adventures; since we had one of the more-exciting adventures compared to most of our classmates. Ehlana and I went to play at the lab or archives after school and stayed a bit late due to the experiment that Ehlana wanted to finish before dinner; so Mom opted to keep everything warm so that we still ate with Mom and Dad instead of being on our own once we did get home.
That messed up our evening plans a bit, but our four best friends didn’t mind getting in on a bonus dessert before we got started on a study session. We also had time for a group Magi lesson and some music play time that kept us entertained until our friends needed to head for their homes; and then Mom vetoed any added work for us so we’ve been winding down with our twin chat and bedtime computing. After a pretty good start to our school week, we don’t really want to get into any world news or political rants, but avoiding that is all about staying happier while also being aware and informed about all of the latest idiocies and horrors perpetrated by world leaders and other despicable people. Whether that evil comes from local criminals taking advantage of a disaster like the wildfires or a billionaire getting wealthier from the destruction of entire countries and the deaths and decimation of hundreds of thousands of people; we keep up with all of the stories – and remember everything forever too.
Fortunately, we also get to remember all of the good in our lives too; and Ehlana’s grinning at me right now while thinking that I’m especially grateful for that when it comes to things like goodnight kisses with Naomi! That is totally-true, and since we do have a very special day ahead of us that will definitely involve extra quality time with Naomi; let’s keep that kind of happy thought going and wrap this up. On our way back to the real world, we do need to mention that Cassie and Michael are in Costa Rica tonight; they’ve already had a full day of meetings, a site visit, and a charity fundraising event; and their working days are going to be that full every day this week. The weather is also cooler and wetter than what they’ve had in Panama last week, but that’s relative; and we’d be happy with daily highs near-eighty and some showers here and there instead of snow! Costa Rica is beautiful and amazing; so even their work is filled with daily fun and adventures; and we are especially-glad that they can enjoy themselves without any serious dangers – or at least without any risks that they can’t handle with just one ninja girl! ;^)
Okay, we really do want to get some sleep now; so we’re out of here and off to dreamland soon.
