Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - July 26, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

We’ve been in wedding-related work mode today and that will continue along with helping to take care of younger kids.  This update is early again because we’ll be busy for the rest of the day; and then Ethan and I will be split up for the night while he’s with Naomi and I’ll have Aiden with me for sleepovers ahead of our wedding dates plans tomorrow.

Thursday wrapped up with an awesome barbeque dinner at Cassie and Michael’s house, and in addition to more work related to the wedding in the evening; we also took care of some kid control fun that included setting up a minor camp by the river at our house and then keeping the kids and teens with us entertained while many of our favorite adults were busy doing other things.  There was some co-ed camping for most of the teen couples with us; and we didn’t get to have much more than some nap time by the time we got to sleep after staying up too-late.

As for our day-so-far, Tai Chi by the river was nice; we had breakfast and packed up our tents and gear; and then it was time to get back to wedding work that included decorating the sanctuary at the church.  We’re now about to head out for a group lunch at the Emersons that we’ll be helping with; and then we’ll be busy for the rest of the day with everything from hair appointments and setting up the pavilion for the reception at the Emersons through to the meals, rehearsal, and rehearsal party adventures still ahead of us between now and when we’ll get around to the separate co-ed sleepovers.

All of those details will need to wait for one of our near-future updates, since we really do need to get going now; and really don’t want to be late for that lunch when there will be boys around that will demolish everything in sight before we can eat too if we don’t get there in time!

Okay, maybe that last bit is an exaggeration, but not by a lot; so we’re out of here!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
