Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - July 13, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

The top news for our day-so-far is that our family continues to be having a very good baseball season; and we collected three more wins with two of them by just one run each while Naomi, Sophia, and I helped our team to a bigger win that was by four runs and wasn’t really close after the first couple of innings.  While we spent quite a bit of time at the park for the games, we also worked on some chores this morning; and we needed some cool-down swims in the river to help deal with another triple-digit-hot and sunny blast of summertime weather.

The rest of our story from last night is that we had another really good family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner; the evening entertainment included a campfire with music that we helped with and scary stories from some favorite grandparents.  Most of the adults headed for their homes fairly-early, but the campfire rolled on until around midnight; and then the teen campers had another late night and we stayed up too-late again.  The overnight temperatures have been quite comfortable without any of the stifling daytime heat being an issue for sleeping outdoors – and that’s why we’ll still be camping again tonight with a smaller group of cousins and friends while others have moved on to other plans.  We also won’t have all of those kids and teens with us for dinner, but then that meal is happening soon; and we need to get to it now that we’re nearly finished with our post-baseball clean-up.  Our plans for tonight include another outdoor movie or two – though one movie might end up being the choice; since at least some of us are tired and might not be able to handle yet another late night in a row!

We’ll let you know how that goes for us, but we really do need to get to dinner soon; so that’s all for this update.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
