Ehlana and Ethan:
We had a good night with our friends last night with the quiet highlights including some music play time a movie and the co-ed sofa or floor-nest nap time; so we were very happy when we got our day started this morning with Tai Chi by the river and a hot breakfast. Our friends moved on to other things after the clean-up from that meal; Ethan and I went to the lab to play with our books or beakers; and then we’ve mostly had a play afternoon with our friends and some cousins since then that has included some trail biking, swimming, and back yard games. Now we’re getting ready to help Mom with some cooking and set-up for a minor dinner with just a handful of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends compared to the normal lately on the weekends; so that’s pretty much all we have for our news of the day-so-far.
It is already getting busier around here, but we aren’t really in on that action yet. Cassie and Michael are and have hit the road for the airport to pick up the first round of incoming guests for the weekend. They’re borrowing two minivans to do that and won’t get back until later tonight, but they will have a total of nine passengers – including one newborn baby that will be staying with them and that we expect to help out with when babysitting is required over the coming week. Dad and Anna Marie are on the way home already as we’re writing this, so it will be nice to have them back soon too, and from what we’ve heard; Dad’s full weeks in the city could be coming to an end very soon too because Anna Marie is ready to handle some of their work on her own and they are either going to split up the week or book more over fewer days. We’ll keep you posted on that story and everything else we have coming up as we transition into wedding mode for the next week or so. Stay tuned for that while we wrap this up and move on to helping Mom in the kitchen and back yard while waiting for our friends to meet up with us again for parts or all of the rest of the day.
