Ehlana and Ethan:
We might not ever get around to keeping up with our daily news details when we’re writing these updates between adventures and when we have a few minutes to do that, but we’re having fun; and that is more-important than offering our stories for posterity!
Our birthday party at Quarry Lake was amazing; we got to do most of our favorite things while there; and then our camping night with our friends and a handful of chaperones was amazing with the highlights being the campfire with music, scary stories, and snacks that we followed up with a late night of chat time and some co-ed nap time that didn’t start until the wee hours of this morning. After that nap time, Tai Chi by the lake was awesome and then we had to rush through breakfast and packing up out tents and gear before drivers arrived to get us all back to town in time for church and Sunday school.
While we had fun with the service and Sunday school, we also mostly helped out with a final round of getting sets and props ready for the teen-led holiday service. Mom and Dad hosted a family-and-friends’ barbeque lunch and then we had a fairly-lazy play afternoon with swim time, some canoeing, park play, and hanging out around the back yard and not really doing much of anything. That brings us up to now, and we’re currently getting ready to head for the Inn and the late buffet dinner. We’re also going to be at Sophia’s for another camping night – or two; and she’s hosting because some of our friends have decided that they should take turns with that; and Sophia ‘won’ for tonight. We have our gear ready to go now and will drop it off on the way to the Inn – and may set up our tents before going to the Inn too if we have time to do that too. Whether we do that next or after dinner isn’t a big deal, since we have gotten very good at our camp set-ups; so that work won’t take long either way.
Moving along, that’s really all we have for this report. Yes, there were gifts and other stories we could add, but we don’t really want to go there when it is really just the time we get to spend with our favorite people that matters; so let’s just wrap this up and we’ll get back to our amazing summer adventures!
