***Heirs of the Magi News Flash!*** September 5, 2026 marks the 15th Anniversary of the Heirs of the Magi Blog! We want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for visiting and enjoying the adventures and stories from our favorite Magi Masters and their family and friends! We are also humbled to announce that just three months after reaching the one-million visitors milestone; we have now already doubled that number to pass the two-million milestone! That is a long way from where we started on September 5, 2011; and we are grateful for all of the support! Here in our magical little corner of the world, summer is ending and while Ethan, Ehlana, and their cousins and friends head back to school; most parents will enjoy the daily breaks while their work and play will transition into the normal fall schedules. Cassie and Michael will be getting ready for their fall work trip; and the adventures will continue if big and small ways as we head into the autumn months of 2026. Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 18, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 29^th Birthday, Violet!

We offered our birthday gifts and best wishes to Violet while at the lab this morning; and we did that because we won’t be at her birthday dinner and party tonight because we’ll be busy with our baseball practices instead. Mom did the same before heading to the city for the rest of the day and night; and that’s also why Cassie and Michael will be our guest coaches tonight. They’ll be at the party before and after working with us too, but our pizza picnic dinner will still be a go; and we’ll help out with the younger kids during the earlier practices. We’re also going to camp at Aiden’s again tonight; so we will stay very busy for the rest of the day.

That was true for the rest of our story yesterday, and in addition to moving our tents and gear to Aiden’s house, we also did a lot of swimming, some biking, and played in the back yard. Aiden’s parents hosted a barbeque dinner after the bakery closed; we ended up doing an outdoor movie night after dark with extra kids; since Hailey and Leah joined us for that and then opted to sleep indoors instead of camping too. We definitely went with another co-ed camping night and keep getting away with it despite hitting the teen years; and we’ll give Naomi credit for that; since none of our parents can resist her audacious charm when it comes to getting what she wants.

While we didn’t actually get a lot of sleep, we still woke early for Tai Chi by the river with Cassie and Michael; followed that up with breakfast at Aiden’s house; and then we split up for another work morning at the lab, bakery, or elsewhere. We met up again in time for lunch after making some decent progress with our beakers or books; and ended up going with a back yard picnic before spending the afternoon biking, swimming, and hanging out with some friends. That brings us up to now, and we’ll be heading to the park soon for the baseball and pizza fun; so that’s all we have for today. Helping with the younger kids might be the scariest part of our plans for the rest of the day, but we’ll let you know how that goes for us; and we’ll wrap this up and get back to the adventures with our family and friends!
