Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 16, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy Father’s Day to all of our favorite Dads!

Happy 8th Birthday, Trinity Taylor!

Another day; another early update and plans for more camping tonight!  There was a bit of early-morning rain, but it was gone by the time we got up for Tai Chi by the river and breakfast.  Thanks to Father’s Day, we had extra parents with the campers for breakfast, and the fun that went along with gifts for those fathers, but we also managed to get to church on time and then Pastor Martha again gave all of the fathers the annual short service gift that had us heading for our homes after just forty-five minutes!

Here at home, we had some camp clean-up to deal with because all of our younger cousins and most of our friends packed up and moved on to other plans for the rest of the day and night – though our family had a picnic lunch that the Carringtons hosted and then our afternoon adventures included canoeing, biking, swimming, and back yard play time.

We’re currently getting ready for the late buffet at the Inn with a gang of family and friends; and then we’ll wrap up our weekend with a quieter night with the small camping group that isn’t going to include a campfire or anything major – mostly because Dad will need to be up early for his trip to the city.  Before we wrap this up; let’s also add that our favorite fathers have had a happy day – even when some of them needed to do some work; and we’re glad that we’ve been able to help out with at least some of that fun and happiness.  It will really feel like the start of our summer break by morning when we don’t need to go to school, but let’s write about that tomorrow night; and now we’ll just get back to our adventures starting right now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
