Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 11, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 23rd Birthday, Julian Sparks!

Julian is away on one of his extreme adventure tours, but Jillian is with him; so his birthday is sure to be a good one without anything more from us than best wishes and the group gift that our family sent along for him.

Here at home, we’ve been busy with another wind-down day at school filled with fun and bonus outdoor time; our usual Tuesday baseball practices and Pizzeria pizza picnic dinner kept us busy for most of the rest of the afternoon and evening along with a bit of trail biking and a couple of cool-down swims; and then we wrapped up our day with a progress visit to Grandma and Grandpa’s new home on the way home from the park.

Ethan and I are feeling a bit bad that we haven’t helped out much, but the work is blasting along without us; and our grandparents expect to be ready to stay at their new place by the weekend.  The work there will be done by then, but there will still be a lot to do at their ‘old’ house; since they aren’t moving everything and will be selling or donating everything that they don’t want to keep.  There were some jokes about putting Kaitlyn in charge of that project when she comes to work for the summer with Aunt Leanne, but then that might prove to be a joke that turns into reality for our cousin; since Aunt Leanne actually decided it was a good idea.  That house is going to get a remodel before going up for sale or rent; so I agree with that and know it would be a great learning project for Kaitlyn to plan it out and work with contractors and construction crews.

Moving along, Mom only did a Magi lesson with us after we got home – and not only because we were all in need of bath or Jacuzzi time after an active school and baseball day!  We were ready to get cleaned up by then; and Ethan and I have been keeping busy with our usual computing and twin chat time since then.  While we do our best to be happy, keeping up with world news makes that challenging; and the usual war news continues to be bad.  The demolition of Gaza continues without serious intervention; and we’re sickened by the death and destruction that world leaders continue to allow to happen there.  Ukraine is being destroyed too, and while the politics are a bit different, the results are the same and on a larger scale – and also with no end in sight.

On the political side of news, there have been some interesting elections around the world, but to be honest, we really just see most of those stories as theatre; since nothing really important changes with new leaders when the important policies don’t change.  Maybe our future journal readers will be blessed with a better political system, but we actually expect that the Ascension of the Light will happen long-before that political change will be possible!

Ethan does not want me to get into a news-based rant, so let’s stop there.  We’ve had a good day; we really only have one ‘work’ day left at school ahead of the annual play day on Thursday and the short, party day on Friday before we get set free for the summer, so we’ll wrap this up; get some rest; and be back to full-power by morning so that we’re ready for all of the fun.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
