Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 1, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 24th Birthday, Allen White!

The top news story of the day for our family is that Grandma and Grandpa have officially taken ownership of the first completed home in the new seniors’ retirement community.  Moving in won’t be starting quite yet, since they have lots of time to do that and work will be done on their current home before it will either be sold or rented.  We haven’t written much about the work going on for the news construction projects and that is mostly because there are other places in the archives to keep up with those stories, but we are glad that our grandparents will soon be able to have a home with everything on one floor instead of needing to deal with older-home stairs to the second floor.  Sure, they are in very good health for their age and get frequent help from their favorite Magi healers when needed, but they appreciate and are looking forward to the easier set-up too.  We’ll have more on their new place in upcoming reports, but other than stopping in for a quick tour; we didn’t have anything else to do with their day while busy with our chores and then studying with our friends.

Our day started quietly-enough with Tai Chi by the river and we loved that a lot thanks to the extra exercise buddies.  That was true for breakfast too; and then we split up for the chores we all needed to do at our own homes.  Some of that work was a bit damp, but we worked through that and got the lawn mowed before the grass got too-wet to cut.  That wasn’t true for the gardening and some work by the river, so we got wet and dirty, but we wrapped up the chores by a bit after noon; got cleaned up and had a quick lunch; and then our study group friends gathered here for an afternoon study session.

The rain moved on around that time, but it has taken a while for the back yard to dry up; so we studied in the house until now; and we’re taking a break before moving outside for more studying and a barbeque dinner.  Ethan and I are offering this update now because we’re planning on having another sleepover – or possibly a camping night if we have more friends wanting to stay than we have guest rooms.  We’ll let you know how that goes for us, but we need to get going because we also need to help out with setting up some tables and chairs ahead of that studying and dinner; so that’s it for today and we’re out of here and back to the work and fun with our family and friends!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
