Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 20, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

We aren’t planning on daily early reports for our journals, but it feels that way so far this summer!  For this round, the update is early because we’ll be busy with the final game night of the school year and then we’ll keep Naomi and Aiden with us for a sleepover ahead of our shopping trip to the city.

As for our news since the least update, we had a blast with Cassie, Michael, and our friends.  The afternoon adventures were mostly indoors due to rain and storms, but we had some breaks too and went for one swim and a walk to check out some of the new construction – though we only did that from the south side of the river.  There was music play time; dinner was homemade and great; and then our evening included movies, quality chat time; and a fair bit of co-ed cuddling.  Cassie and Michael had to do a bit of late-evening work, but that only took an hour or so; and we stayed up too-late while sharing stories and talking about our plans for the coming weeks and months.  Naomi, Sophia, and I also got a full update on the wedding progress, and while everything is on-track for Rowen and Tim’s big day; we’ll also likely get drafted to help with some of the work during the weeks leading up to that Saturday.  The co-ed sofa sleepovers followed – though we barely had time for naps; and then it was time to get going again by early morning when we met up for Tai Chi by the river.

The rain had moved on by then, so we loved that workout with just a minor issue from wet grass, and then we had a hot breakfast before splitting up for the rest of the morning.  Ethan and I went on to work on chores for the next few hours while our friends had other duties and Cassie and Michael had to work on their computers and deal with digital meetings.  By a bit after noon, we actually had the rest of our normal weekend chores finished; we had lunch with Mom; and then we’ve spent the afternoon enjoying the sun and hot weather with our friends.  Staying in or near the river worked for us, so we’ve had a blast; and expect that to continue through dinner and on to the gaming at the Inn.  We don’t need to use our sight to predict that their friends and neighbors will be happy to see Miranda and Mom win the senior title tonight so that they can keep the title until September, but I’ll suggest that Naomi might be very motivated tonight too; so Ethan might want to bring his best gaming along too – though I won’t predict a junior title too.

It is time for us to move on now, though, so that’s all for this report.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
