Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 25th Birthday, Jen Wingborough!
Ethan and I didn’t have anything to do with Jen’s special day; mostly because Cassie and Michael went in on a joint gift for her with Rebecca, Rowen, and their husbands and didn’t need our help with any deliveries. Cassie and Michael did have a vid chat with Jen and we’ve heard that she’s having a happy day, but we’ll skip most details – including everything that might be involved in her kid-free night.
We’ve had another warm day, but there have been some showers too, but we didn’t mind the rain because we only got caught in it twice; and it wasn’t uncomfortable when the high was also over eighty. There was also some bonus outdoor time when it wasn’t raining at all; and we stayed indoors the rest of the time. Our academic adventures were good; we play-worked at the lab or archives after that until dinnertime; and then we enjoyed that easy-meal with Mom and Dad before moving on to the Inn for game night. That was our entertainment highlight of the day, so while we didn’t bring home any championships tonight; we had fun. Okay, Ethan had more fun than I did, but then that’s normal for him whenever he’s sharing the fun with Naomi!
Since getting home from the Inn, we’ve had a Magi lesson with Mom; took care of some charity work – including some support for Cassie and Michael in Sudan and prepping for the next stops on their itinerary over the coming week and change. Time phasing allowed us to get that done faster, but it is still getting late; so Ethan and I are keeping the bedtime computing and twin chat. I’m going to skip any world news rants too, but will mention that we are seriously wishing that this election cycle was finished already; since it seems to get worse every day; and it is a challenge to keep up with all of the stories when so many of them involve nothing more than promoting hate and division. It really won’t matter to us which candidate is our president next year when we get to visit Washington on our school trip. We have joked about making a real difference while there for that visit, but we won’t be allowed to do that even if we could; and we aren’t meant to change the world one politician at a time. We’re going to lead by example; and trust that the majority of the people in the world will choose love and happiness for everyone they love when given the right opportunities.
Now it’s time for Ethan and I to recharge and be ready for a busy final school day of the week and another amazing weekend; so we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
