Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 13th Birthday, Paige Spencer!
Since Paige’s party was yesterday, we didn’t have a party to go to today, but we did have birthday treats and gifts for her at lunchtime – including bakery cupcakes and more that we shared with as many friends as possible until we ran out. Paige loved her day in the city on Sunday; shopped for some of her gifts; and the Beetlejuice sequel – though a few, younger kids opted for the wild robot movie instead. Paige chose a Chinese food restaurant for her birthday dinner; and then they made it back to town by ten o’clock due to the school night thing. Paige kept two friends for a sleepover; so she had them with her for the birthday breakfast this morning ahead of our academic adventures. Finally, let’s add that she has still had a family dinner with more birthday gifts, but isn’t doing that with extra friends.
While helping Paige with celebrating her special day was our entertainment highlight, Ethan and I work-played at the office or lab after school and into the evening; and we took a picnic dinner so that we could stay and keep our work going for longer than usual while we can as we close in on being busier with Halloween-themed fun through the end of the month. We also used some time phasing; so we’re tired now as we’re writing this; and need to re-charge again already after getting to do that last night. The work is important, though, and I’m also getting much-closer to a cancer cure that won’t require direct Magi power to complete the treatments. That would make an awesome Christmas gift, but that would still just be the beginning, since as with our cold cure; it will take decades to take the cure from testing to being globally-available. Ethan thinks that my work is more-valuable, and in some ways it is, but let’s not forget that what he’s doing with our archives will be essential for training all future Magi of the Light and help us to be ready for the challenges ahead of us in the coming years and decades.
That’s a positive note to wrap up with; so that’s all for this report.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
