Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 27th Birthday, Chris Rice!
Happy 24th Birthday, Madelana!
We’ve been busy so far today with fall clean-up chores, and we have accomplished a lot and had some fun along the way, but chores are not newsworthy or interesting. We definitely had more fun last night with the football game and win over Meadowvale – especially since we got to share that with our hometown friends and neighbors. Dad got home in time to catch the game too; and we got to see Aaron earn two touchdowns to help with the win while Naomi entertained us with her cheer squad friends. The victory was followed by a party for the team and cheer squad, so Ethan and Sophia went to that with Naomi and Aaron after the game while Aiden and I weren’t disappointed to have some alone time in the lounge while waiting for the four of them to catch up with us later and while Mom and Dad opted to head for bed after we got home. We eventually watched a Halloween movie; enjoyed the co-ed cuddling and teen chat time; and then we had a handful of hours of co-ed nap time.
After Tai Chi by the river and a hot breakfast, the teens in the house stayed together for our chores at all of the homes and cottages; we sometimes worked with groups of parents and cousins and siblings too; and we are very glad that we have lawn tech advantages that weren’t available in the past – like the lawn tractors with attachments like baggers and vacuums and mulchers that help with making the work much faster – especially now that we have extra work while helping with Cassie and Michael’s house and the family cottages. It takes a small army to keep up with all of that work now, but then putting in that effort has everything to do with why we’re getting cleaned up and changed and ready to play with the gang we’ll be going to the pumpkin patch farm with soon.
We’re going there later today so that we can get in on the after-dark haunted hayride as well as the rest of the activities and events that have become part of the annual fun and games. The farm owners are expanding their Halloween events, so in addition to the haunted hayride, there is a stage show, and more game and food booths to enjoy along with the older favorites like the haunted barn and corn maze. Our stories from the pumpkin patch can wait for our next report, since we’ll likely be doing sleepovers here or elsewhere after we get home tonight; so we’ll have better things to do than play on our computers for the rest of the day!
It is nearly time for the great gathering for the convoy heading out to the farm, though, so that’s all for this update and it is time to get started on the best fun still ahead of us for the rest of the day.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
