Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - October 20, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

We had a blast last night at the pumpkin patch farm; the scares are bigger and better at night; and we liked the food quite a lot too – especially the treats we brought home with us from the farm store that included pies and Halloween-themed treats.  The haunted hayride and haunted barns were scary and fun; the stage shows were either funny or musically-entertaining with favorite Halloween songs; and we loved the corn maze in the dark and the rest of the games and activities.  We were part of the group that stayed until nearly eleven o’clock last night, so Ethan and I ended up hosting the six-teen co-ed sofa sleepover; and we wrapped up our day with a Halloween movie and co-ed cuddle time that kept us up later than we should have been but was worth the trade-off for less sleep.

Tai Chi by the river was good for our start today after some fatigue healing; we went with a snack-breakfast that included a vid-chat with Cassie and Michael; and then the church service and Sunday school kept us busy for most of the rest of the morning.  Ethan and I opted to play-work at the lab this afternoon, but we want to mention that Sophia and Aaron were on the guest list for Paige Spencer’s day-early birthday trip to Crystal Springs for some shopping, a movie, and dinner.  Those parties always have a small group of guests due to the cost; and we don’t mind being excluded by classmates that have other best friends.  We had fun at the lab or archives; came home in time for an easy-dinner with Mom and Dad; and then we’ve only done a bit of work in the office and a Magi lesson with Mom before moving on to bath or Jacuzzi time and the bedtime computing that we’re doing now.

We’ve had such a good weekend that news or political commentary would just mess with all of the happy so we won’t go there tonight.  Cassie and Michael have finished their time in Egypt and will be moving on to Sudan next; where they are going to have added challenges with their travel to go along with the work that is already difficult when finding trustworthy partners is tough and dealing with bad guys is worse.

We’ll keep you posted on their stories too, but that’s all we have for tonight; and it is definitely time to catch up on our sleep and get back to full-power again.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
