Ehlana and Ethan:
We’ve had a cooler day, but the high was still near-seventy and there was a lot of sun; so we could enjoy the times we did get to have outdoors. Before we move on to our news of the day, we should also add that the farmers are very happy thanks to the great weather, since it has been near-perfect for the harvests of all fall-harvest crops and it has been a good year for them. That isn’t true every year and we don’t write about it much, but then all of our farmers are doing better thanks in-part to our lab and the partnerships we have with most of those farms and farming families.
Our day began with Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad; we had a good day at school even with two tests thanks to bonus outdoor time; and then we’ve been busy with our friends since then – though we had to wait for Naomi and Aaron to catch up with us after cheer squad and football practices. The highlights included a band practice; a group Magi lesson with Mom; working on our Halloween costumes; and a pasta-and-sides dinner. Sure, we did our homework too, but when it is just the six of us; we can get that done quickly; and that work isn’t newsworthy. Ethan and I walked Naomi and Aiden to their homes when our friends headed for their homes at a bit after ten o’clock; and we took Silkie along for her bedtime walk.
That reminds me to mention Mandy, and as usual; she is being shared while Cassie and Michael are away – with Faith taking care of her this week and possibly for longer; since she really likes having Mandy to cuddle with at night. We’ll take a turn here too, but Mandy is popular with our cousins; so she always has a home when needed while her favorite people are away.
Moving along, that’s pretty much our story for today. Since getting home, we took care of a couple of chores; and have been doing our bedtime computing and twin chat since then. There might actually be some good world news out of the BRICS summit in Russia – though our own leaders wouldn’t agree. China and India may have a deal to resolve their border disputes; there are bi-lateral meetings happening on the sidelines with various pairings of leaders from all of the countries at the summit; and there are new deals happening among those countries – whether economic or other alliances. Ethan and I like a lot of that; and wish that our country would choose that kind of negotiation over our current methods of bullying the rest of the world to get what we want.
I don’t want to do any rants tonight, so that’s all for this report. We’ve had a good day; the fun is going to continue through the weekend and end of the month; so stay tuned for those stories while we move on to nap time right now.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
