Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had a great day that started with Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad; our academic adventures included bonus outdoor time thanks to the warm weather and sun that also had us missing out on forecasted thunderstorms and rain. That’s why we also chose to go biking with our friends after school; and we really enjoyed the riding on the park trails that included practicing favorite jumps and tricks for an hour and change before we went home in time to help Mom with making dinner. Naomi and Aiden came with us; stayed for that meal; and Mom added in a bonus Magi lesson that we multi-tasked with the work.
Game night at the Inn was our entertainment highlight of the evening; Naomi and I won the junior title; and we’re starting to get teased about that even though we certainly aren’t winning so-regularly that it should be a problem for the older teens! After that blast of fun, we collected Silkie on the way for our walk to see Naomi and Aiden to their homes; we had fun with that and extended out walk and that chat a bit too, but then we came home and Mom didn’t want us working tonight. That supposedly wasn’t related to our need for bath or Jacuzzi time, but we pretended to take the hints and came upstairs soon after getting home. We got cleaned up; and now we’re wrapping up our day with our twin chat and computer checks.
While we’re going to take a break from the usual world and political news stories, we do need to mention that there are new troubles brewing between India and Pakistan. There was a serious terrorist attack in India; a Pakistani-supported group has claimed responsibility; and now the two countries are ramping up retaliations that started with India canceling a water-sharing treaty that is critical for Pakistan followed by tit-for-tat restrictions for things like access to airspace for airlines in each country and severe visa restrictions and cancellations. The last thing we need in the world is yet another crisis that could lead to war, but other than trying to be prepared to help where needed; we can really only watch and wait to see what happens there next. India and Pakistan are both nuclear powers with a combined population heading toward one-point-seven billion people; so nobody anywhere in the world should want to see this fight blow up into a war.
Stay tuned for more on that story and others as we roll into the weekend and toward the end of April, but we’ve had enough for tonight; so getting some sleep and re-charging to be ready for the weekend is all we want to do for the rest of the night.
