Ethan and Ehlana:
We thought that yesterday was amazing for the weather, but Mother Nature one-upped that with the high for today touching ninety!
Our bike ride and picnic adventure to Quarry Lake yesterday afternoon was awesome, and we had a blast with some of our cousins and friends while Mom and Dad worked through most of their kid-free time. Okay, they didn’t work all of the time – especially last night; but we do not need to even think about that and definitely do not want any details! We loved the warm weather and outdoor fun; and then Ehlana went home with Aiden after we got back to town while I went home with Naomi. We each had fun with the Drapers or Seagers respectively; and that included separate while similar adventures that included cooking dinners, music play time, games, and a movie before eventually getting around to our co-ed sofa sleepovers.
Naomi and I went over to the Drapers this morning for Tai Chi by the river; Ehlana and I were split up again for breakfast and while getting ready for church; and then the church service and Sunday school were great and including our work on the final preparations for the teen-led Easter Sunday sunrise service. Ehlana, Aiden, and I have also been drafted to work with Naomi next Sunday for the pancake breakfast; so we are going to have a very-busy Easter morning!
That brings us up to the family-and-friends’ adventures for today. Ehlana and I went home with Mom and Dad, but after a snack lunch; we had incoming guests for the rest of the afternoon and we enjoyed that hot weather with biking on the trails, canoe rides, and play time at the park and in the back yard. Mom and Dad also hosted a barbeque dinner for everyone that could be there, so Ehlana and I helped with a lot of the work on both sides of the meal; and that was pretty much the end to the fun and games parts of our day. Our guests went to their own homes after dinner; we only did a tiny bit of work and a Magi lesson with Mom in the office; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time and we’re all going with an early bedtime because Dad and Anna Marie will be heading to Crystal Springs in the morning for a short work week that they should have wrapped up by around lunchtime on Thursday.
Since we are going to have that early wake-up call, let’s skip the world and political news for tonight and just stay happy after such an awesome weekend. We will mention that Cassie and Michael are going to surprise some of their favorite people by making a side-trip home for Easter, but we only know about that because they couldn’t surprise us like that even if they really wanted to try; since we do know where they are pretty much all of the time. They’ll still be doing work along the way between Texas and here, though, and have work stops booked for after Easter as they head south first and then east again as they eventually will make it to D.C. in time to chaperone our Grade Eight trip!
We won’t start that countdown until after Easter, but stay tuned for that upcoming adventure too; since we really expect to have a blast while at the capital – and no, we don’t hope that’ll be in a fight with the Hathornes kind of way! ;^)
Okay, we’re obviously tired and in need of some sleep; so that’s all for this report.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
