Ehlana and Ethan:
Ethan and I spent the morning at the lab or archives; and now we’re transitioning from ‘work’ to playing for the rest of the day with our family and friends – though we’ll have lunch with Mom, Naomi, and Aiden first before we all head over to the Carringtons. While we had fun with our beakers or books; we’re looking forward to the rest of the day and weekend – in-part because we have Johnson and McEwan cousins heading our way for the coming week or two. Some of the adult cousins and next-gen kids will be staying at family cottages while teens and kids will be at the Carringtons’ and Ayres’ homes, so while this isn’t quite the same as previous hometown vacations for our cousins; we are going to be busy and taking more time to hang out with our cousins and keeping our guests entertained.
For this afternoon, that is going to mean doing some work that includes setting up tents at the Carringtons for a night or three of camping; we’ll help with getting set up for a family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner; kid control time is likely; and we’ll possibly lend a hand with final prep for the cottages too.
We need to head downstairs for lunch now, so that’s all for this report; and we’ll have the rest of our news from today sometime tomorrow. On our way back to the ‘real’ world, I’ll only mention that Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim are enjoying their last full day of sightseeing in the United Kingdom, and while they haven’t been there for long; Rowen and Tim will be starting their trip home tomorrow; and Cassie and Michael will be moving on to the work parts of their trip while heading to Germany to get started on the rest of their itinerary. We’ll keep you posted on their stories too, so stay tuned for that; and we’re out of here and back to living our own amazing adventures!
