We have a bit of news from the Bauer family already, though no details to explain what we’ve learned today. According to communications within the Bauer family corporation, Marcel Bauer did not show up for work as expected on their Monday; and the search is on for their CEO’s ‘beloved’ brother. That is all we have so far, but our initial assessment is that Marcel has chosen to go into hiding instead of revealing his loss of power to his family – a choice that we actually hope for with the opponents that Cassie and Michael defeat; since that could be a best-case option for helping them to get time to rethink the choices in their lives-so-far. We might never know whether that change ever happens for Marcel, but we will continue to hope for the best for him – and for every Dark Magi.

This has been a damp day with some rain off-and-on, so while we managed to have Tai Chi by the river; we’ve spent a lot of the rest of our day indoors with just a few outdoor adventures during the breaks in the bands of rain or showers. Ethan and I play-worked at the lab or archives all morning; we’ve hosted cousins and friends at our house this afternoon when not enjoying those outdoor adventures; and now we’re getting ready to host a teen evening while the younger kids are either at the Ayres’ or Carringtons’ homes with Uncle Nick and Aunt Deborah ‘losing’ the coin flip and getting the boys while Brianna hosts the girls. We need to help Mom with getting dinner ready while we wait for some of those teens to arrive and leave others to hang out in the lounge or elsewhere; so that’s pretty much all we have for today-so-far.
We aren’t actually expecting a major sleepover tonight – just Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron while the rest of the teens have other plans at their homes or elsewhere. Video gaming and a movie are all we have for our entertainment plans – along with some quality teen chat and co-ed cuddle time, but we’ll let you know how that goes for us with the next report; wrap this up; and get downstairs to help Mom with the cooking and dinner set-up.
