Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - August 2, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 11th Birthday, Drew Spencer!

We get to thank Drew today for hosting a birthday adventure and camping night that is keeping Zack, Eli, and quite a few of the other boys around their age busy while we’re going to be entertained with a co-ed ball game, some babysitting, and a camping night for those kids we’ll be taking care of and some cousins and friends while the Spencer clan keeps all of those boys busy and out of our way! ;^)

As for our day, we played at the lab this morning after our co-ed sleepover; we played close to home and in the river this afternoon while also setting up our campground; and now we’ll soon be helping out with the barbeque dinner that Mom and Dad are hosting ahead of that ball game that we hope will get ‘our’ teams back onto a winning streak after the first losses of the season last weekend.  We’ll let you know whether that works out for us or not with the next update – along with the rest of the stories related to the fun and camping, but we really need to get downstairs and help Mom soon; so let’s wrap this up.

Cassie and Michael are winding down day five in Italy, and while they aren’t exactly wasting time keeping in contact with us, Cassie and Rowen are posting regular pictures and more to groups of their family and friends; and we can report that they are having a blast – even while somehow managing to have nothing to write about at all for parts of their days that are apparently hours of totally-boring moments with nothing happening at all!  Okay, we all know that isn’t true, but we’re okay with pretending; and we won’t need or want any details.  We should have added more details from the rest of our Thursday, but while we had fun; those details aren’t really important and a bit repetitive – even with the minor co-ed pairings’ differences each night or varied evening activities beyond kid control and babysitting.

Okay, we really do need to go and help Mom now; so that’s all and we’re out of here right now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
