Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 11th Birthday, Sebastian!
Our cousin’s special day is likely still being celebrated with late-night video gaming for the gang of boys staying at the Ayres’ home tonight, but we only stopped in for the birthday dinner between our practices. While that was a blip in our day; Sebastian had fun with his friends all day; and there are at least a dozen happy girls tonight getting to have a night off from brothers or sons! ;^)
As for the rest of our day; it was non-stop action again. Tai Chi was by the river; we had fun with our classes and school work; Ehlana had her cheer squad practice during the lunch break; and then we had band or football after school. My practice was intense again, but we’re feeling pretty good about our chances on Friday. Dinner really was just a blip in our day, since we arrived late and had to leave early for the teen praise team practice. That blast of music fun was intense too – our last run-through ahead of the service on Sunday; and then we came home from the church. We took Silkie for a walk while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes. By the time we got home again, Mom decided it was too-late for a Magi lesson or any extra work; so we’ve moved straight to the twin chat and computer checks wrap-up to our day.
There isn’t any news to report from the usual top conflicts – though that is only because nothing has changed. It is becoming a daily mantra about peace talks that go nowhere and fighting that continues to destroy and kill endlessly. Tensions continue between Pakistan and Afghanistan with new cross-border bombings; and we have to wonder if there is more going on in Pakistan now that they’ve had border clashes with two neighbors this year. There isn’t anything new from Venezuela, but our navy is still massed nearby and the threats continue. There aren’t many stories out right now about tariffs and sanctions, but they are all out there and dragging on the global economy and continuing to damage international relationships. We really wish that we could offer a good news story, but while there are always ‘feel good’ stories to be found around the internet, we have things like that happen here at home every day; and our idea of truly good news would be things like having true peace break out around the world. That didn’t happen today; so we’ll just call it a day and go get some sleep right now.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
