Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 18th Birthday, Kaitlyn Proctor!
Our cousin is having a happy day, but we only had a short vid-chat with her – and with Jeremy – because she was busy this morning with lots of morning calls while away at college.
Our day started quietly with Tai Chi by the river that Naomi and I did with Mom and Dad while Ehlana and Aiden did their own thing by the river at his house. We had our separate breakfasts too; and then we met up for church and Sunday school where we enjoyed the parts of the service that the kids and teens attend and then our Sunday school adventures included doing some prep work for the holiday weekend service that the teens will lead for Thanksgiving. Ehlana came home with us, but Naomi only stayed long enough for a bit of girl chat time and to grab her overnight bag before moving on to her own home; and then Ehlana and I had a quick lunch with Mom and Dad before going over to the lab to work-play for the afternoon.
We used time phasing to get more done again today; and fit about ten hours worth of work into the afternoon before heading home in time for dinner with Mom and Dad. They cooked, so after enjoying the pasta meal with them; Ehlana and I took care of the clean-up; and then we all worked in the office for a couple of hours before Mom sent us upstairs for the night. Bath or Jacuzzi time followed; and now we’re dealing with the usual bedtime computer checks and twin chat wrap-up to our day and weekend.
***RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Cassie and Michael went to ‘meet’ the Dark Magi Master they discovered in the French Polynesian islands. Her name is Jacqueline Lecuyer – a fifty-four year old grandmother; and she was not very grandmotherly to them when they made an uninvited visit to her semi-private island. She did not appreciate the visit; and sent her security forces to stop Cassie and Michael. That didn’t end well for them, but most of them survived the total defeat; and Cassie and Michael did not cause any of the fatalities that happened because of crossfire or Ms. Lecuyer’s own actions. The fight that was directly with her ended up being a mixed bag of repeats from previous Dark Magi confrontations. Jacqueline was interested in more talk while testing Cassie and Michael, and she was more-tentative at first too, but she also eventually attempted full-power blasts after gaining confidence when they didn’t do more than defend themselves and project weakness that was all for show; and then she was shocked unconscious when defeated.
That gave Cassie and Michael time to learn a lot about the Lecuyer family. Jacqueline has one daughter and one granddaughter – Racquel and Monique. Racquel is twenty-eight and Monique is just two; so Cassie was really glad that they were not at home for the fight and traveling instead. We will not be looking to fight them too anytime soon – though we will be able to keep an eye on them from now on. As for the history of this family, Cassie and Michael learned that they were from France; escaped to French Polynesia centuries ago to escape the fights for power in Europe with the other Dark Magi families; and have become matriarchal intentionally and sometimes brutally when dealing with male children. Their power base is limited to the South Pacific islands; they have intentionally hid from the other families; and also have some very interesting archives related to the history of the European Dark Magi families that will take time for us – me – to process.
We do not know what will happen to Jacqueline – though Cassie is hoping that ‘Grandma’ will be kept alive for her granddaughter’s sake – as well as for time that might lead her to the light. Cassie and Michael were on that island for nearly eight hours by the time they’d learned or gathered all of the information they could after the fight; and were back at their hotel in Tahiti by the wee hours of their Sunday morning. If they have more for us; we’ll pass that along too, but that’s all for this report.
***END OF RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Let’s start with the Cassie and Michael update. They did some island hopping on Saturday, but are staying in Tahiti today and mixing two meetings with some sightseeing and play time. They’ll be home for the holidays by next Sunday; so we’re happy to be counting down by days now instead of weeks. They are still dealing with a lot of rain, but are getting less of that today while it is still warm every day too with the high for them today topping eighty. That sounds great to us now that the high around here was in the fifties and it was near-freezing this morning, but we really can’t complain either after most of a week of awesome fall weather!
Moving on, the world and political news front is still awful. This weekend, the distractions include a feud between President Trump and other politicians, and while that isn’t new; this battle is against supporters that he is throwing under the bus while they demand that he keep his election promises that were why they supported him during the elections. There is a story out there about the attempted assassin who tried to kill President Trump in Pennsylvania last year too that is getting attention for details about the young man that have been, apparently, been kept suppressed by the FBI despite the fact that they insist that he acted alone and there will be no trials related to the attack. We would like to know the truth – just as we’re sure that is true for the families and friends of the victims that were killed or injured in that attack, but this is also another distraction to deflect the masses from paying attention to the important stories about the stories that really need to be talked about and acted on to stop the killing and destruction.
Ukraine is systematically being destroyed and their army is being decimated while western leaders and media roll on oblivious to what is really happening – or they all do know and don’t care. That’s as-true for Gaza and the Palestinians by Israel; and that story is barely covered at all lately since peace was declared by President Trump a few weeks ago. News flash – there is no peace in the Middle East. Tensions are high between India and Pakistan; Venezuela is still waiting to find out whether they will be bombed and invaded over drug trafficking claims that are flat-out lies from our leaders; and there are never-ending stories about tariffs and sanctions that are destroying economic and trade relations around the world.
That’s enough bad news for one night or weekend; so let’s wrap this up and call it a night. Ehlana and I are ready to get some sleep; and we’ll need that extra down time to be ready for the next couple of weeks as we head into Thanksgiving and what will hopefully also include two more football game wins and a championship! Stay tuned; since we are expecting to have a lot of fun to go along with all of the work.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
