Ethan and Ehlana:
***RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Cassie and Michael moved from the Cook Islands to Tahiti; and were welcomed to French Polynesia with an unexpected surprise. Long before they arrived, they sensed the use of Magi power by a Dark Magi Master that we knew nothing about until today. This as-yet unidentified person was not on the main island, and Cassie and Michael haven’t had time to do any research while getting started on their work schedule. They will start that research soon, but this part of their trip has become very weird for them because that Dark Magi Master uses power regularly; unaware of the ‘audience’ now nearby and able to sense everything. That’s all we have for now, but stay tuned; since Cassie and Michael are going to add this new project to their schedule; and we sense that they are going to have more happening than just research. We’ll keep you posted.
***END OF RESTRICTED UPDATE***
We’re back to another school week with the schedule highlight being the second-round playoff game on Friday. Grand Summit is our opponent and they are a very good team; so our practice today was very serious. Coach Robinson has a lot of confidence in his team; and we return that loyalty because he is a great coach and strategist. Football isn’t important in the grand scheme of things, but we are teens; and even junior Magi Masters like to have a normal life!
The top news of the day is the taste of winter that isn’t lasting for long, but has warned us of what is coming soon. That’s why we opted for indoors Tai Chi; we still wanted a hot breakfast; and Ehlana and I took care of the clean-up before we headed to school. There isn’t anything for us to report from our classes – we just had a normal day of lessons and work on assignments and projects. The practices after school were tough, but we had fun too; and then brought our four best friends home for dinner and our study session. Mom also did a group Magi lesson with us; and we had some quiet teen chat and co-ed cuddle time after the work too before our friends headed for their homes. Ehlana and I walked Naomi and Aiden home while taking Silkie out too; and then we came home for a bit of work with Mom and Dad in the office. Cassie and Michael did a short vid-chat with us too. They moved from the Cook Islands to Tahiti this morning and got right to work. Tahiti is the main island in French Polynesia; and this is the last stop on their South Pacific adventure. They’ve had rain again today, but it is also very warm in Tahiti; and we notice that more when the high around here only hit the mid-thirties. They’re really still just getting started on their work as we’re writing this, so we don’t have details; so stay tuned for news as we get it from them.
We would like to take the night off from world news, but won’t do that. The talk of the day ranges from our politicians making a deal to end the government shutdown that will do nothing to solve the real problems in our country and likely just enrich those same leaders and allow them to pretend that they actually do work that justifies their paychecks. Our diagnosis of the problem is that they have collectively forgotten that they work for the citizens of this country; and they have totally failed in their duties to serve and protect us. There is news of a high-level meeting between the foreign ministers of our country and Russia – presumably in advance of a next meeting between our presidents. Another flip in that story is just noise; and we will wait to see whether anything ‘real’ happens.
That doesn’t seem very likely in Ukraine as the destruction accelerates. Western media can write all of the nonsense they want about what is actually happening, but our daily searches look beyond that; and tonight we are simply hoping that the Ukrainian soldiers caught up in the cauldrons on the front lines will accept Russia’s offer for them to surrender before they are destroyed. Let’s again mention that we think that what the Ukrainian leaders are doing is reprehensible; and there is no excuse for not only allowing, but directing, the destruction of their citizens and country. The longer they avoid negotiating a deal with Russia; the worse the final costs will be – and they are already catastrophic. The choices being made in Ukraine will take generations to recover from; and we feel sorry for the people that will suffer in the coming decades – especially for the people that have already lost family, property, and more. Ukraine at least had and has a choice, but the Palestinians do not. Yes, Hamas has weapons, but they are nothing compared to Israel’s army; and the people can only continue to suffer until someone steps up and stops the genocide.
That’s enough for tonight. We’re tired after a long, busy, and happy day; and we’ll take that feeling into our dreams – starting right now.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
