Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - November 11, 2025

Ethan and Ehlana:

It was still cold this morning, but the warm-up started today; and we’re looking forward to another chance for the warmth before winter eventually, inevitably returns.  The morning chill kept us indoors for Tai Chi; we had a hot breakfast; and then got busy with our academic adventures.  We had a test today to go along with the regular lessons and work, and while that wasn’t newsworthy; we’re mentioning it to record that we do have normal school activities – even if we don’t have the stresses that some of our classmates do when it comes to tests and exams.  Ehlana had her cheer squad practice at noon; and band practice after school while I was busy with football training.  We had fun with all of that, and then we had a dinner and study break that Aaron hosted between those practices and our teen praise team practice at the church.  We’re getting ready for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, so we were kept busy with that for nearly two hours; and then Ehlana and I came home after doing the goodnight hugs and kisses with Naomi and Aiden when we split up instead of walking them to their homes.

We didn’t do any work or a Magi lesson after getting home – it has already been a long day; and we’re tired.  After a news-of-the-day update for all of us, Cassie and Michael did another short vid-chat with us from Tahiti with highlights from their work and just a bit of sightseeing.  Mom has been working with them from home today; and they are getting a lot done.  As we’ve mentioned before, the projects they are working on help fewer people, but the scope for helping our planet is what is really going to make a difference in the coming years and decades.  Yes, we would like to make life better for every person in the world too, but we are also stewards of everything in our world; so we will do this kind of work and make a difference through protecting our environment.

Ehlana and I are not helping with that tonight, but we are okay with that, since we are teens; and can wait to grow up before taking on those responsibilities full-time.  We’re going to take it easy on the world news update tonight too.  One of the top stories of the day has been the terrorist bombing attack in New Delhi, India that killed at least a dozen people and injured many more.  We don’t have many details so far that we can relay with any confidence, but this was another serious attack on India; and tensions are high.  The last thing the world needs is yet another conflict zone, but this also is another example of problems around the world that are escalating as people get angrier and lash out against their enemies – perceived or real.

We aren’t going to offer anything about the rest of the war news from the usual conflicts we write about – nothing changes and the killing and destruction continues with no end in sight.  The political noise rolls on too with nothing being done by our leaders for the good of our country – or world; so we will watch, listen, and wait until we can do more to change that for everyone.  That future isn’t here yet, and we are tired; so we will go and get some sleep now; and keep love and happiness within so that we will have it available when we can share it with the world – including with the people closest to us.  That’s enough for us – and this is also all we have for this report.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
