Heirs of the Magi News Flash!

***Heirs of the Magi News Flash!*** The annual fall festival is now behind us, and Cassie and Michael are heading out on their fall trip - this time to the South Pacific! They'll miss out on the Halloween fun at home and the rest of the high school football season, but all of that time in tropical paradises will likely be worth those little sacrifices! Some favorite grandparents will be away for adventures in Arizona or elsewhere too, but our favorite Magi staying at home are sure to have a lot of fun anyway. We'll have all of the adventure highlights from home and away right here for you each day; so... ...Visit Witch Falls often to keep up with all of our latest stories; and Happy Reading! P.S. Thank-you to everyone enjoying our stories from Witch Falls as we have passed five-hundred thousand views!

Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - May 8, 2025

Ethan and Ehlana:

We’ve had another great day, and the weather mostly cooperated for our visits to Williamsburg and Jamestown.  Getting to see that kind of history – including the lessons and demonstrations, was amazing; and we preferred all of that to our civics education from our politicians and the guides at the White House and on Capitol Hill.  We spent the morning in Williamsburg; moved on to Jamestown for the afternoon; and then we were back in Washington in time for dinner at a beachside surf and turf restaurant.  That meal was great and then we got to take a walk on the beach that was far more romantic for Ehlana and Aiden than it was for Sophia and me.  Yes, I’ve already been teased about that, but we have done the same week as Naomi and Aaron did; and they didn’t get teased about hanging out together like this – and they did do that too.

Moving along, rain has moved into the area and it is supposed to rain on-and-off until after we’re on our way home.  We went for a last swim after getting back to our hotel; and now we’re going to keep this update and chat time because we need the sleep ahead of our early wake-up call for our flight home.

The top news today was that an American Catholic Cardinal has been elected the new Pope of the Catholic Church.  We have no opinion to offer at all; and will simply hope that the new Pope will lead his flock of close to one-and-a-half billion Catholics around the world where God wants them to go!  We certainly don’t think that direction to be the same as where our political world leaders are taking their people as wars escalate between India and Pakistan and elsewhere – even while a memorial truce is supposed to be in effect for Russia and Ukraine.  Okay, Ukraine didn’t agree to that truce, but that is just a weak move made by a country that is already half-destroyed and on the way to being decimated if they don’t get a clue soon.  Their current options are terrible, but better than what will happen if they end up needing to surrender.  Basically all diplomacy between the western governments and anyone else seems to be all talk and no action now; and we hate seeing what is happening to the Palestinians, the minorities in Syria, and in Yemen and elsewhere.  Cassie agrees with Mom and won’t let us try to fix everything while here in Washington; so we won’t – and be glad to get home by tomorrow night!

I am really going to love being back with Naomi, so I’ll take that thought along with me; go so that Ehlana and Aiden can say goodnight for a while; and wrap this up!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
