Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 12th Birthday, Rebekkah Burroughs!
Happy 5th Anniversary, Reid and Lily Spencer!
Other than wishing Rebekkah the best for her special day, we haven’t been involved in either celebration. Leah and Hailey are helping their friend out with that, though, and we’ll hope that Zack and Eli are playing nice at Rebekkah’s co-ed party too!
As for our day, we had fun with Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad; we had a good day at school with bonus outdoor time; and we just got back from some biking on the trails with our friends while enjoying the sun and a high that topped eighty again. While on that ride, we decided to try a camping night that Ehlana and I are hosting for some friends and cousins. We’ve already set up our tents; others are being set up as we’re writing this and rounding up the gear we’ll want with us tonight; and Mom and Dad want us to help with the dinner they’ll be hosting for those kids, teens, and some of the parents too. That won’t be a huge group since there is a gang at Rebekkah’s party – including some of our favorite cousins and their parents, but we do need to wrap this up and get to work; so let’s do a quick news report and then we’re out of here.
The peace talks happened in Turkey, but little was actually accomplished beyond agreeing to a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine that will hopefully be great for those soldiers and their families, but also was something that the two sides have been doing regularly anyway. There is no ceasefire; the two sides are miles apart on what they want to end the war; and the killing and destruction continues along the front lines and beyond. As always, we’ll hope for better while we still don’t see any improvements where it actually matters – on the ground and for everyone being affected by the conflicts.
Cassie and Michael continue to make their way home to us, and while they are getting a lot of work done while also stopping for visits with some friends along the way; we’re mostly just counting down until they get home again next Thursday and ahead of the holiday weekend. They’re good, having fun, and haven’t had any travel troubles; so we’ll leave the rest of their travel reports for you to read in their sections of the archive.
We really need to get going now; so that’s all for this report. The best parts of our day are still ahead; so stay tuned for those stories with our next update.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
