Ethan and Ehlana:
The last day of May should likely get a more-serious update, but the weather is great; we’re busy; and will be having a camping night with friends and cousins after our studying, dinner, more studying, and a campfire; so we’re doing the report now instead of later and don’t have much time for it before our friends will begin arriving for the first round of studying. Tai Chi was by the river this morning; we had a hot breakfast; and then got to work on our chores. That was after the fun we had last night with family and friends that included biking the trails; a barbeque dinner; and an evening study session that rolled on until around eleven o’clock. Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron stayed for the co-ed sleepover; and Ehlana and I worked with Naomi and Aiden today at multiple homes and cottages for our chores.
That work is done now; we both hopped in the river to cool down and then grab showers to get clean after all of the yard work and setting up our tents; and now our friends are gathering already for the studying. Mom and Dad are going to host another family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner; we’re planning on a campfire at dusk; and we’ll likely stay up too late again tonight. It has warmed into the high-eighties this afternoon and will still stay in the sixties overnight; so we’re expecting to have a blast for the rest of the day.
We can write about that tomorrow night; so let’s wrap this up with a quick news update and then we need to get with our friends and start the next round of exams studying. There continues to be peace talk with no action on all fronts including Ukraine and the Middle East. Ehlana and I will wait to see real changes on the ground before we’ll trust any of the talk; and nobody should trust any of the supposed efforts at diplomacy. The tariff and trade wars are heating up again – or cooling down – depending on who you listen to on the stories of the hour; and there are far too many leaders in the world interested in completely destroying global trade. China seems to be the primary target for tariffs and other trade restrictions, and we understand the issues on both sides of the very real trade problems, but the ‘solutions’ being implemented and proposed will do damage to everyone and risk escalations to military conflicts.
Ehlana and I will not get into the political theatre distractions of the hour that are never-ending and meaningless efforts to keep the masses entertained so that they don’t get mad and rise up against all of the stupidity and the horrors being inflicted on fellow humans elsewhere in the world. We really do need to go now; so that’s all for today – and for May. We’ll be back again next month, so stay tuned for that; and we’ll do our best to have an amazing rest of the day that we can write about tomorrow night!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
