Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - May 21, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 11th Birthday, Kendra Byrd!

We had a group gift for Kendra that we gave her at school, and some of her birthday fun happened at the park during her ball practice, but that was the extent of our play time with Kendra.  She is having a party and sleepover tonight that is just for some of her best girlfriends including Leah and Hailey; and the boys were not wanted or invited.  That didn’t keep Zack, Eli, and some of their friends from annoying the girls at school and at the park, so if they actually don’t have a clue yet; we’ll mention here that their actions have everything to do with why the girls their age don’t really want to hang out with them most of the time.  That gives us a mental picture of that reality not changing for them until sometime after they all graduate from high school, but that is just a funny thought; and not very likely to happen – just as that wasn’t true for Miles, Joshua, and the guys that liked to mess with the girls our age.  Sure, that is still a work in progress for about half of those boys, but then that could be said for some of our girlfriends too for different reasons.

Moving along, we had a good school day with two tests and some project presentations; baseball at the park included the usual pizza picnic dinner; and the main difference from previous weeks so far is that we spent some time helping with Rowen and Tim’s move before heading to the park.  There wasn’t a lot of time for that, but then the work is ahead of schedule now; the apartment is basically empty and just waiting to be cleaned; and the work in the new house will mostly be done by sometime tomorrow.  While the ball practices kept us from the lab as usual, we did some work and a Magi lesson in the office tonight with the main difference being that Mom ordered bath or Jacuzzi time first.  Let’s not comment on why our parents might not have wanted to be in an enclosed space with us before getting clean; and we definitely don’t want to write about how they managed to get cleaned up too when their shower was only running once while Ethan and I were in our tubs! ;^)

Okay, other than the work on family business and charities; we mostly had fun today and the work made us feel better about playing for most of the day.  With a bit of time phasing, we still got a lot done too; so we’re feeling good about that as well as being tired and ready to crash.  Doing that is an option, so that’s all we have for this update; and we’re out of here and off to dreamland right now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
