Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 9th Birthday, Trinity Taylor!
Brianna and Faith are helping Trinity with celebrating her special day, but we haven’t been involved at all; and leave it up to her friends and family to make her day amazing!
As for our adventures since the last report, we loved the buffet dinner at the Inn and our co-ed camping with our four best friends that was fairly-quiet compared to the rest of the weekend; and then some of us were up early this morning to see Dad and Anna Marie off on their trip to Crystal Springs. We followed that up with some nap time before Tai Chi by the river; breakfast with Mom was good too; and then we split up with our best friends for the rest of the morning because summer break is here; and we’re all going to be working part-time summer jobs. That means working at the lab or archives for Ehlana and me; Aiden is going to help out at the bakery or with chores at home; and Naomi will do the same at home or the salon. Ehlana and I had fun at the lab until lunchtime; had that meal with Mom, Naomi, and Aiden; and then we spent the afternoon biking trails, swimming, and playing with our friends. There were only five of us for dinner and we cooked for Mom and took care of the clean-up; and now we’re getting ready for one more co-ed camping night with our four best friends before we’ll need to pack up ahead of some forecast rain and thunderstorms expected for tomorrow night and into Wednesday. We’re not planning on anything major for entertainment tonight, but might have some ‘live’ music fun; moonlit swims are an option; and co-ed cuddling will definitely be involved. Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron will all be back here soon; so let’s wrap this up with a quick news report.
The Iran-Israel war is still the top story, and while there are rumors and stories out there about talking peace; no actions match up with that as our country sends air re-fueling tankers and aircraft carriers to the region and the airstrikes continue on both sides. We currently expect that our country will join in on the attacks on Iran; and can only hope that we won’t do that and escalate the devastation and deaths. It is clear that Israel started this war to drag our country into it and help them to destroy Iran. We can do that, but at what cost to the world? Do we need another Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, or any of the other failed states left behind by our previous interventions? Even if we succeed in doing that yet again; how much destruction will happen in Israel and elsewhere to make that happen? How many millions will die this time? Nobody in power seems to care to answer any of those questions – or at least that’s true for as long as it is other people doing the fighting and dying.
While the Middle East gets top billing again today, the Ukraine war hasn’t slowed or been forgotten for the people being killed or injured there; and the destruction continues at a faster pace as the Russian forces continue to advance all along the front lines and keep hitting the rest of Ukraine hard with their daily airstrikes. There is talk about peace there too with nothing happening beyond more prisoner exchanges while the fighting goes on; and we don’t believe any of that talk either – especially now that we have two obvious examples showing that peace talks only seem to be used to distract from clandestine military actions like the attacks in Russia on the nuclear bomber fleet and the opening attack on Iran that happened while they were being told that they were safe while the peace talks continued. We don’t want to get into that again tonight, but there is a cost for doing things like that when the rest of the world doesn’t trust our country anymore after we prove that we have no honor and openly lie and cheat. Israel might be the exception in history for our actions – or they’ll soon end up being destroyed and looking a lot like what’s left of some of their neighbors like Syria and Lebanon.
Okay, that’s enough for this report – though we didn’t even get into the ongoing protests and riots in our country or the ongoing tariff and trade wars that roll on endlessly. Let’s save that for another night; since we really do want to get back to having fun with our four best friends. That is definitely a much-happier place to go; so we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
