Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - December 19, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 9th Birthday, Katie Taylor!

Happy 4th Birthday, Jair Cassidy!

Happy 24th Birthday, Laura Cross!

We’ve had an awesome, happy day, but we’re also tired, so instead of doing a full report tonight; let’s keep this one short and we’ll add details with our next report.

The highlights from our day were the Christmas concert with our favorite parts were the songs we helped with for the younger kids; the song we did with Naomi and the Holiday Harmonies; and the songs we did with the band.  After school, we helped Mom with some holiday cooking and baking; we had dinner along the way; and then we went to the Inn for the Christmas game night.  Mom helped Miranda with their annual Christmas gift of the last game night senior title of the year; we all had fun; and then Ethan and I went home with Mom and helped with more pre-cooking – mostly dealing with food that had been left to cook in the oven and some baking we could continue while the oven was still hot.

Since I apparently can’t just save most of the news for tomorrow anyway despite being tired; our morning included music practices and helping to set up the gym for the concert; and we’ve kept our bedtime computing to a minimum because we just didn’t want to dwell on the usual daily dose of bad news.  That is a part of our updates that we’re happy to skip writing about; so let’s just get to the Christmas music video picks of the day.  There isn’t an addition to the guessing game this time – Ethan and I made these choices together – an older favorite and a new version of an old classic that we both love.  Enjoy the music while we nap our way back to full power ahead of our last school day of the year!
