Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 8, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 36th Birthday, Aunt Grace!

We don’t really have a lot of news for today.  After our evening church service last night, we had a small campfire; the co-ed camping was fun; and then we’ve had another hot, sunny play day while Cassie was busy with her first day of fourth-year classes.  Michael and May worked for most of the day while she was busy; but they came out to play for a while this afternoon too.  The only work we did today was during a morning visit to the lab – while Naomi and Aiden checked in with their parents and after we packed up the tent.  We’ll camp again soon, but there’s a risk of rain tonight and tomorrow; and we’re ready for a night in our own beds.

After the lab time, we met up with our best friends again; had a picnic lunch at the park with canoe time on either side of that meal.  After that, we biked and played at the park; went for a couple of swims; and then split up for the rest of the day ahead of dinnertime.  Aunt Grace did not want a major birthday dinner or party, so we were at home for a quiet meal while she only celebrated with Uncle Mark and the kids.  Cassie is going to be busy day and night now – even when she doesn’t have the extra night class; and she worked in the office all evening while we went for a walk with Silkie; did some socially-distanced visits with neighbors; and then came home for a wind-down that included a music practice and tub or Jacuzzi time.

That’s all we have, so we’ll wrap this up; and go get some sleep.  If we do get a rain day; we’ll go play at the lab for the entire day, but we’ll let you know how that goes for us with the next update.

This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
